Each quarter, we highlight one General Manager whose leadership, performance, and dedication to their team stand out across our portfolio. This quarter, we are proud to recognize Celestina Feazel, General Manager of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Pecos, Texas, as Mehr’s GM of the Quarter.

Her recognition reflects the work she has put into learning every part of the property, leading through change, and helping build a team culture rooted in respect.


Celebrating Celestina Feazel’s Leadership Approach


Can you share a little about your path in hospitality and what inspired you to become a General Manager?

My journey in hospitality began by chance, building on my background in sales and retail customer service. I joined Fairfield Inn & Suites Pecos over a year ago and gained experience in every aspect of the property before applying for the General Manager position. After stepping up to manage the hotel during a leadership transition and completing a five-person interview process, I was selected for the role. It has truly been the best decision of my life.



What do you believe sets your leadership style apart, and how has it impacted your team and property?

My leadership mindset centers on active involvement in every aspect of the hotel’s operations. I believe working alongside my team and participating in their daily tasks fosters a sense of equality and mutual respect. Additionally, I maintain an open-door policy, as I believe every piece of information or concern, regardless of scale, is important to our success.


What’s something unique, creative, or exciting you’ve introduced at your property that you’re especially proud of?

To support the well-being during the workday, if any employee needs a quiet place to recharge, they are welcome to use my office to sit and relax during their scheduled breaks. I want to ensure that everybody has a comfortable space available whenever they need a moment of downtime.


This award recognizes you as GM of the Quarter. What do you feel contributed most to earning this recognition?

I feel my hard work and dedication; and more importantly, great patience has contributed to earning this recognition.


What motivates you in your role, and what advice would you share with other hospitality leaders striving to make an impact?


My role reflects my commitment to professional excellence and my dedication to supporting both our guests and our staff. I encourage all hospitality leaders to deepen their knowledge of their property and brand to better serve and lead their team.


What’s it like working for a Mehr-managed property, and how would you describe the team culture that makes your property successful?

Working with Mehr Consultancy has truly aligned with my professional integrity and helped me manage my responsibilities with a high level of accountability. I find Mehr to be an exceptionally well-trained property management group, and I value the standards they maintain.
